Model Details

A very well preserved and cared for Bechstein model A from the post WW1 period. One can but wonder about the brave retailer stocking a new German grand piano in the immediate years after the first world war but I guess life had to go on and people accepted that German goods would again become requested. This particular example is in lovely condition and we must be grateful to the family who have carefully looked after it for so long. Totally original and now being serviced and conserved at Shackell Pianos. We feel it would be a great shame to restore the piano with new parts, there are plenty of those around but not many quite like this.
