This is a very rare late 1930's Bechstein grand and known as the "Lilliput" grand. Production from Bechstein at this time was not over plentiful and personally speaking this is one of the latest Bechstein grands we have had from the pre WW2 period. This is a very lovely little piano and the full restoration is now completed. The casework has been refinished in high gloss ebony polyester and looks stunning, the piano has been restrung, fitted with new damper felts, hammer heads, key coverings as well as all the other myriad of things that get done along the way. This restoration has made a pleasant change to all the Steinways we restore and has been a rewarding project. Having been told by a number of people this piano is too cheap the price of this piano will rise to £14,995 on 1st May if not sold before. Fair warning!
