A silk Steinway? Well this is what this Steinway looks and sounds like....pure silk. This Hamburg model S grand has had just the one owner from new and has now had an overhaul at Shackell Pianos. Beautiful satin ebony casework refinishing, full restringing, replacement damper felts and a new action frame have all helped bring this lovely little Steinway back to life. The original ivory key coverings and action parts have been retained and so have given us the gorgeous mellow, warm tone quality associated with older hammer heads. Easy light touch, this is a friendly piano (like all Steinways) from the moment you see it.
