Now available after careful preservation, a very original late Victorian period casework model A in Indian rosewood. This piano has been in the same family for the last 40 years and is very well preserved. A rare chance to buy a piano with such a cared for casework - nothing missing or broken! We have carried out a partial restoration on this piano, it has been fitted with replacement Steinway hammers and shanks, new damper felts, adjustable pedal rods and thorough cleaning of the interior and strings that were changed some years ago. The pitch is at A441 and the tuning pins are perfectly fine for continued tuning. The ivory key coverings have been restored and the action is typically light and easy to play so familiar of this era of piano. Combined with a lovely mellow tone the whole piano breaths character and charm. Offered with a period adjustable piano stool.
