Recently SOLD Steinway B -211 drawing room grand 1912

Here we have a very original model B from the pre first war era. The casework was painted in a pale cream colour but under the paint was a glorious rosewood veneer with the inlaid boxwood Steinway & Sons logo on the fallboard. Truly superb traditional French polishing of the casework has been carried out and the instrument now looks every bit of its former glory. The extensive overhaul of this piano is now completed including stringing and action, the specification of which includes; * Plate gilding, plate lettering, new agraffes, new stringing support felts * Soundboard repairs, fitting of facsimile decal and varnishing * All new strings * New damper felts and damper tray overhaul, new adjustable pedal rods * New action frame, hammer shanks, hammers and repetition levers * Original ivory key coverings polished, all related key and keyframe overhaul. This is a glorious Steinway and much care and attention has been lavished on it. We have fitted custom prepared Steinway hammer heads to reduce weight and with the use of restored repetition levers using suspension springs the authentic and original feel of the action which is very easy to play has been preserved.
