NEW HOME FOR SHACKELL PIANOS LTD. Shackell Pianos are pleased to announce that they will be moving premises at the end of February 2010. We have purchased a new freehold property and this exciting new home will allow for greater expansion of our thriving business. The new home for our stock of Steinway and Yamaha pianos will feature an air conditioned showroom, separate storage facilities for the concert stock, general workshop area, reception space displaying upright pianos as well as upper floor storage for further instruments. Please visit us in the spring if you are near to see the range of pianos on display and under restoration. DUET MUSICAL INSTRUMENT FINANCE Jeffrey Shackell has recently signed a new long term contract to remain as the head of technical piano services for Duet Instrument Leasing (Formerly The Musical Instrument Finance Company) Jeffrey has overall responsibility for the maintenance of the stock of some 350 pianos at a value of £3M on lease to some of this countries leading music conservatoires and public schools. Jeffrey is quick to point out though that he is but a cog in a much bigger wheel and recongnises only too well the huge support from the regional onsite technicians. During the summer months this team will continue to form the basis of the service group and intensive sessions of time are spent taking care of the annual service requirements to many Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos.
