This Steinway is being overhauled and will be available at the end of March 2010. The casework has been completely refinished in high gloss ebony polyester and the overhaul will include full restringing and action work including new hammers, shanks, dampers etc.   Please ask for a full specification of the work being carried out.

Our choice of two 1972 Hamburg model B grands is now completed following thorough overhaul work.  Full casework polyestering in high gloss ebony, restringing and a complete action rebuild including all new top action parts have been used in this work that has taken over 6 months to complete.  Both instruments are now sold.

This Steinway model B requires a full overhaul.  At present in a mahogany veneer casework.  Excellent soundboard and plate.  We estimate this Steinway will be available in the summer of 2010.

Rosewood veneer casework under the present painted case. In need of total restoration and traditional French polishing of the casework is planned for later in February.  This piano is completely original and will make a fine piano after our careful restoration.  Ivory key coverings

This Steinway B grand has had the benefit of a full restring in recent years as well action overhaul work. A thorough service has taken place and the key coverings have been replaced with Steinway Ivoplast material as well as further hammer head replacement and new damper felts.  Lovely Indian rosewood veneer casework.  This piano is available now from our Oxfordshire showrooms.

A wonderful 'golden era' Steinway purchased locally to us.  Completely
original. Jeffrey Shackell first tuned this Steinway over 30 Years ago as a young and enthusiastic technician starting out in his own business.

An incredibly well preserved model A with a wonderful original vintage sound quality. The stringing and action was overhauled some 50 years ago and we are suggesting that this be preserved for as long as possible in this condition.

The instrument has now been thoroughly serviced and has a lovely mellow sound. Perfect ivory key coverings, original gild on plate and soundboard decal.

We have just managed to get this completely original piano into the schedule for overhaul.  The Indian Rosewood casework is to be hand polished, the action thoroughly overhauled with new Steinway parts and the piano is to be restrung throughout.  This piano has well preserved ivory key coverings and an excellent soundboard with no signs of damage due to age or dry air.  Estimated completion date - December 2009

A very well preserved model O grand in a lovely French polished Indian rosewood casework.  The piano was restrung some years ago and we have taken the decision to conserve the instrument in this largely original condition. Excellent condition soundboard with no splits, original plate gilding, action parts including yellow core hammer heads and ivory key coverings.  Now thoroughly serviced through and a splendid snap shot into the past of how a Steinway sounded over 100 years ago.

This model M grand was fitted with a new soundboard and pinblock at the Hamburg Steinway factory some 15 years ago.  A new top action was also fitted and the casework which is raised on cabriole legs with claw and ball feet was refinished.  The casework polyestering is of the highest standard.  Jeffrey Shackell is in the process of thoroughly servicing this piano including the fitting of a new set of hammer heads. A matching piano stool will be supplied with the piano.
